Literature: Awake!

Awake! For dawn's light chases away the night
Flings rocks that drive the stars to flight
The golden chariot in the eastern skies
Captures the clouds in knots of lights

Ten thousand blooms coames with the day
Like icicles which cling but never stay
For winds and rains they come and go
So let thoughts of the night die away

Around and around in life we swim
Rolling along in that river's flow
Meandering though we at times say
"Never again"...
While the winds of life blow by

We of Earth drunk with the fire of desire
Filled with past regrets and future fears
Awake! Make the most of what has yet to come
Before we oncemore into ashes and dust descend
